Hidden gem right off the highway in Vandenberg Village. I went for breakfast and was impressed by the amount of options. The tri-tip burrito and short stack of pancakes is what I ordered. Both were filling, and the average person would have been stuffed from just one of those items - but I finished both plates! Friendly staff too. Highly Recommended

Im a local and highly recommend this place if you are in the area. Breakfast and lunch are dead on. Service is good and staff are nice. Always bet on tri-tip.

Our waiter Jim is the best dinner server at Dave’s Place. He was prepared with excellent recommendations, efficient service and a super positive attitude. All the food was fresh & delicious!

We love to come here for breakfast. The patio is dog-friendly, so sometimes we bring him to have breakfast as a family. My favorite breakfast is the bacon, eggs, and potatoes with toast. The bacon is chewy/crispy as I like it, and the potatoes are soft inside and crunchy on the outside. It's just .... good. Simple but delicious. My family likes to get their big fluffy pancakes or beautiful French toast. Sometimes they get the chicken fried steak or biscuits and gravy. Everything is good. It's American diner food, which we love. We like to support this locally owned small business with its good food and generous portions. The inside of the restaurant is basic but comfortable and the service has always been good. They do have gluten-free bread and there are lots of vegetarian options. You can probably also have a dairy-free meal if you ask them not to use butter. But I would be very surprised if they have anything for vegans like Impossible burgers or soy cheeze. That's not what this place is about.

Great dinner at Dave’s Place in the Village Inn. Started with the artichoke appetizer which was expertly prepared and presented. The wine menu was super local! The strawberry and arugula salad with tritip was excellent. The prime rib was melt in your mouth good. Servers were very attentive and courteous. Definitely will be back and will bring more people. They also have separate rooms for private events.

Wonderful mom-and-pop diner for every meal! The staff are courteous, the prices are great, and the portions are large. Fun decorations throughout the premises too.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We came here for breakfast with my family, and everything was amazing! The food was delicious, fresh, and came out quickly. The staff was super friendly and made us feel welcome right away. The kids loved their meals, and Brenda and I really enjoyed ours too. Great portions, fair prices, and a cozy local spot that feels like home. Definitely one of the best breakfast places in town—we’ll be coming back often!

Food and service are great! I can hardly wait until the next meal there. My chief salad with Dave’s smoked chicken was terrific.
